Scan Lines You may have noticed that a lot of sigs that you've seen in the past have scan lines, i.e. the thin darker or lighter lines that run parallel throughout the signature. For example: This sig uses horizontal, 1 pixel width scanlines. To add scanlines: 1. Create a new document sized 3x3 2. Zoom in and colour in the middle horizontal row of pixels with the pencil tool, then remove the top and bottom rows of pixels so you have a transparency, your image should look like this: 3. Next, go to Edit > Define Pattern, then save this Pattern as 'Horizontal Scanlines' 4. Re-open your sig that you wish to add scanlines to. 5. Create a new layer on top of the whole document by pressing Ctrl + Shift + N and then fully select it by pressing Ctrl + A 6. Go to Edit > Fill... , In the 'Use:' dropdown menu, select pattern, and then choose the pattern you just created. 7. Your sig now has scanlines, adjust the opacity to the level which you're happy with Note: You can also use:
- Diagonal Lines
- Vertical Lines
- Other types of patterns

Good For Begging With Scanlines But:
Doesn't Show Their Full Potential, Eg Changing The Blending Option.
And Isn't A Very Good Example At The Top Because It Makes That Sig Look Bad!!
